Special Services Director

The Department of Special Services is required to provide free and appropriate public education to eligible children, ages 3-21 years old, in cooperation with parents and other agencies under the Individual with Disabilities Education Act. The Natchez-Adams School District will ensure that all students are prepared to continue their education and to successfully enter the workplace as productive, responsible citizens; including those with disabilities in accordance with the district's mission.

Parents and guardians are encouraged to contact their child's home school or the Department of Special Services at (601) 445-2995 for more information if they suspect that their child has a disability. Decisions are made on a case by case basis.

Vision
The Department of Special Services envisions a school system where all students, families, schools, and community members share the motivation, knowledge, and skills to work together to ensure that all children with disabilities are learning, progressing, and preparing for their place in our global community.
